Why You Might Never Get Your Freebies From Free Offers

Sad but true, you might never receive the freebies you apply for from a freebie giveaway or free offer. In fact, if you regularly apply for free stuff, it′s probably inevitable that at some point you will not get at least one of something you put in for.

It′s (usually) nothing personal, it′s just the law of supply and demand.

The freebies and free offers seen on the internet exist as part of a marketing and/or advertising campaign for the company making the free offer. They are there to entice you into trying a new product and to increase product visibility.

When a company structures this type of campaign, they have to make an educated guess as to how many free samples or freebie services to offer. They make that guess based partially on how much interest in their freebies they think there will be, and also on budget 7ndash; how many freebies (at $"x") they can afford to let go for nothing.

The sticking point is that sometimes the demand for freebies is much greater than anticipated, or much greater than the company can afford. When that happens, the company simply has to stop filling the freebies and free stuff 'orders' and/or stop the promotion entirely, sometimes very early in the campaign. That′s usually a good sign for the companies because it means consumer interest was/is high, but it can be a bummer when you had your heart set on that free bottle of a great new skin cream.

There′s another reason that some freebies frequent shoppers might never see their free stuff materialize, and that is due to freebie consumer greed. Some people just can′t get enough of a good, free thing and so they try to cheat the freebie system in order to get lots and lots of free product. But retailers are no dummies and they have safeties in place to stop abuse of freebies programs. When a person is caught trying to cheat freebies offers continually, they are essentially "blackballed"; their name is added to a database and companies offering freebies simply won′t ship free products to them.

That scenario is easily avoided if you just respect the manufacturers and appreciate that a limited amount of a free something is better than nothing; your time for goof free product will come again, so keep your name on the up–and–up so that you can continue to enjoy receiving something for virtually nothing.

By and large, though, not receiving your free stuff from freebies offers is not a problem. In the majority of cases, you will get what you apply for – especially if you work through a reputable freebies directory that is regularly updated. That way, you get the newest freebies available in quick time, not stale, outdated, closed–out free offers. Just because you might have given up a few minutes of your time and not received your freebie doesn′t mean regular freebie bargain hunting isn–t a fun game worth playing.
